When choosing a university, it is essential to become familiar with the campus atmosphere to make informed decisions. The Welcome Center conducts tours of the campus, so that prospective students and their families can become acquainted with Prairie View A&M University.
Family tours are scheduled on most Monday through Friday in the morning and afternoons. online registration for tour reservations are required.
Group tours are scheduled based on availability. Groups must call the Welcome Center to schedule a Group Tour. Online registration for a group tour reservation is required.
All tours require a reservation. Please allow 5 to 7 working days for the processing of your request during peak times. Tours are not guaranteed until an email confirmation is received from recruitment@pvamu.edu or jomckissack@pvamu.edu
All Family Tours will begin in the Welcome Center. The Welcome Center is located at 1700 T.J. Solomon St. Prairie View, TX 77446 (All visitors must obtain a digital parking permit through the ParkMobile app upon arrival to the Welcome Center).
Tours are approximately an hour and thirty minutes long and include a visit to the freshman living-learning environment, Memorial Student Center, and a glimpse into several of our prestigious buildings.
Things to know before you come:
- This is a walking tour! Dress for the weather and remember to Wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Residence Hall tours are contingent upon availability
- If you are 15 minutes late for your tour, your reservation will be changed to another time or date
- If you require assistance, please contact the Welcome Center via email at recruitment@pvamu.edu or call 936-261-1081 at least 10 business days prior to your tour date
